2006 Okie Blog Awards

The Okie Blog Awards are established by, and decided by and for, Oklahoma bloggers exclusively. They are intended for our blogging peers to recognize and honor the excellence of diversity by bloggers within the state through popular nominating and voting.

On Aug. 14, 2006, Oklahoma bloggers began nominating their favorite blogs in each of 12 categories. In those categories with more than 10 blogs being nominated, the ten blogs receiving the most nominations made the final nomination list. The result is 87 different blogs being nominated for consideration as the best blogs among their fellow bloggers.

Voting

Only Okie bloggers with active Okie blogs at the start of nominations are eligible to vote. "Active" is defined as having at least one blog post between June 16 and Aug. 14, 2006. An "Okie blog" is defined as having at least one active blog author residing within the state of Oklahoma.
A blogger cannot vote for his or her own blog.
A blogger can only vote for one blog per category.
The voting period ends on Sept. 20, 2006.

The blog receiving the most votes in each category will be recognized.
Winners will be announced at the Okie Blogger Round-up in Oklahoma City on Sept. 23 and posted thereafter.

All decisions regarding the Okie Blog Awards are made by Okiedoke, and are final.
