January 21st, 2009The final nominees for the 2008 Okie Blog Awards are now posted and voting is open. You may have to clear your browser’s cache to update the page.
On Jan.2, 2009, Oklahoma bloggers began nominating their favorite blogs in each of 12 categories. In those categories with more than 10 blogs being nominated, the ten blogs receiving the most nominations made the final nomination list.
There are many new entries joining some old favorites for your consideration as the best Oklahoma blogs of 2008. Thank you to all the bloggers who took the time to submit the wonderful collection of Okie blogs for nomination.
Over the next two weeks, Oklahoma bloggers will review the nominees and make their choices for the best and brightest Okie blogs. The voting period ends Feb. 7, 2009.
But of course you don’t have to be an Oklahoma blogger to enjoy exploring some of the best blogs anywhere on the Internets.
Finally, a hearty congratulations go to all the nominees making the final cut.

Not really understanding how all of this works, I would like to take a moment to thank whoever it was that nominated Creative Endeavors for the writing award. Just to be considered in the top ten is a honor in itself, and I just wanted to say ….. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Woot! What a wonderful birthday present for me! I was nearly aflutter when I came to the site today. At first I thought it was excitement, but then I realized it’s because I’m old and weak and shaky.

Okay…I have spent my afternoon visiting blogs…it has been fun seeing all the noms…I couldnt leave comments for everyone due to their tighter than fort knox/the prez security systems they have installed BUT I was there….there are some FAB blogs Nom’d and I am so honored to be a part of it all!
