Our economic condition in pictures

I hear and read from a wide range of experts on reasons behind current problems with the U.S. economy. Rather than try to decipher the convoluted explanations as to why Wall Street bankers deserve government bailouts for their greedy mismanagement while executives pocket millions; or why the U.S. health care system is the most costly in the world, yet ranks 23rd in life expectancy; or why agribusiness gets federal subsidies at a time of record crop prices; or why oil companies get tax breaks with profits at all time highs; or why community leaders push to shift commercial venture costs to consumer taxes; or why CEO compensation is not related to performance, and even though worker productivity steadily increases, the wage earner’s buying power for basic necessities decreases; or why…

    Yep. I’ve said for awhile, until our government takes MAJOR steps to remove lobbyists from Washington, things are only going to get worse for the middle class.
